A One-Day Author Visit consists of three presentations, forty-five minutes in length, followed by a book signing.

An author presentation informs students about the following:
  • story ideas
  • research
  • revision
  • the role of the reader

Presentations also include an author reading and a question and answer period.

A Two-Day Author Visit consists of the following:

Day One– same as above, with the addition of an evening Family Story Circle where parents and children share stories about "something beautiful" in their lives

Day Two– Three period-long Writing Workshops where students engage in exercises exploring the use of imagination and memoir as a source for creative writing

Cost:

One-Day Author Visit: $1500 per day plus transportation, meals and lodging
$1200 per day for schools within a forty-five mile radius of Montclair, New Jersey

Two-Day Author Visit: $2,000 plus transportation, meals and lodging
